We’ve had a long working relationship with our Real Women muse for this month – Ayesha Amin Nigam. As the Chief Fashion Stylist at Brides Today (erstwhile Harper’s Bazaar Bride), she’s been styling Zariin in some spectacular ways for various editorials for a few years now. We’ve followed her work closely to the point of realizing that there is no couture brand she hasn’t worked with from Paris to Milan and styled many celebrities with her imperative creative flair. This aspect adds an interesting angle to this shoot. We’ve always liked to play things up – this time around, Ayesha isn’t styling but has been styled in our jewelry for our Real Women shoot. With Valentine’s Day around the corner and her upcoming wedding, she was indeed the perfect muse.
The mood of Ayesha’s shoot was easy chic and we made the most of a sunny winter afternoon. Ayesha is a clear multi-tasker and is almost working all the time. That passion of hers for her work was evident as she was constantly in touch with her team to coordinate a telephonic interview with Sonam Kapoor, while being shot herself . She seemed to find focus amidst regular everyday chaos and do what she needs to!
The conversation steered through finding love, office romance and the vibe of her upcoming wedding. Sharing our notes 🙂

1. Where did Ayush and you meet?
We met in the INDIA Today office! We both worked in the lifestyle division. I joined as a Stylist at Harper’s Bazaar Bride. He was already working there for some time with marketing for Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, and Women’s Health etc.
I had seen him on my first day itself – in the canteen and was quite intrigued to say the least 😀
2. What’s the best part about office romances?
We both were very fortunate to have met the way we did and also to have forged very deep friendships at our work place.
Thus, the whole thing was a bit like school as we were always surrounded with friends and would constantly do things together. Whether work or play! We also work very well together having done many events as a team. So I think that will be beneficial to us in the long run!
3. Three words that describe your relationship the best.
Goofy, warm and energetic
4. Can you pick your favourite travel destination with him. What makes it so special?
The best thing about us is that we both absolutely love to travel- especially hectic travel which has us taking trains, flights, ferries…..everything! We are very lucky to have traveled to some amazing places.
But the two places that are close to our hearts are – Florence, Italy where we go once every year. We thoroughly enjoy it and Ayush speaks very good Italian so that’s also an added benefit! The second would be Canggu in Bali which was an amazing vacation we went on 2 years back.
5. Can you give us inputs on any off beat places you discovered in Delhi as a couple?
Off beat places would be South Indian eateries. One is the South Indian stall near Tamil Sangam in RK Puram and one near Mithas- Gargi college . Also, sev puri! The best ones are the guy in Defence Colony market and the one in Sundar Nagar.
6. Can you throw some hints on the overall vibe of your wedding?
Our wedding is going to be swinging between a major rager and chill vibes only (I hope!)
Like all things we do, it’s a hectic 12 day affair over 3 cities. We are bracing for it. But to be honest between Ayush, me and our friends – we wouldn’t have it any other way!
We are doing many off beat and special things and creating our own traditions and mixing things up!
7. What part of planning the wedding did you enjoy the most?
Ayush and I have done everything on our own with of course, heaps of help from our friends. One of my way friends, Anupriya designed all the cards and creatives. Nirja, my best friend and maid of honour, did all the coordination. Another friend has choreographed the songs and one is mixing the playlist. Just makes it all the more special!
8. What type of a bride are you: the Fun Bride, the Planner Bride, the Eye for Detail Bride or the Last Minute Bride?
All! I didn’t want to be the Last Minute bride but I have become one unfortunately because, oh well! Am definitely the Fun and Eye for Detail bride for sure.
Don’t want to be a grumpy bride though!

9. You’ve had a long working relationship with Zariin. What draws you to the label?
I absolutely love Zariin! It’s so different, delicate and wearable. With every collection they outdo themselves. I like them because they’re so versatile and not screaming for attention.
10. Pick three words that define Zariin.
Delicate. Wearable. Versatile
11. Can you pick your favorite Zariin collection?
Oh, so many! But I love the one with the pearls. It’s so very pretty. And also, their collection with Confluence.
